Two new sight words AND and IN!

Today is the beginning of a new week and two new sight words. The past two weeks we worked on the words "I", "like", "the" and "at". Today we introduced "and" and "in". Be on the look out for a yellow sheet in your child's folder with activities to help with sight word recognition.

This week our Phantastic Phantom spirit stick winners were Summer and Lauren, they did a great job walking at a zero in the hall and working during writer's workshop and daily 5.

Star of the Week-- October 6-10

Our star of the week will be Gavin. We can't wait to learn about Gavin and his family!

Math Memory

We are working on numbers to 10 and quick recognition of the dots. Help your child at home by writing numbers using groups of 5 and extras and play a game. For example 6 would be 5 and 1 extra.

Fuel Up To Play 60 fun

Friday was our kick off for the NFL's Play 60 program, we spent an hour in the morning doing an obstacle course, food tasting, and dancing. Play 60 encourages children and families to do 60 minutes of exercise a day. We had so much fun!

Our community has many places

We learned that a community has many places and people that help us. We made a community with Mrs. Neuens' class.
