Fire drill

The class did a great job today with our first fire drill. Some of the students were a little scared but we talked bout how it is just a practice so we are prepared.

Working on our stamina

Our goal today was to read to self for three minutes, we made it 5! We read quietly, read the whole time, stayed in one spot, and started right away. Good job class!

Those Noisy Neighbors...

During Writer's Workshop today we talked about those that may become noisy neighbors, what do we do to help quiet them and what to do if we become one of them? We continued to build stamina working up to longer writing times.

Our first spirit stick winners...

We have been working hard being respectful, responsible, and safe. When we do this we earn Phantastic Phantom slips, each Friday two students are drawn for spirit sticks. This weeks winners are Braelynn and Owen! Congratulations!

Star of the Week-- September 15-19

Next week Kyle will be our star of the week, he celebrated his birthday on the 8th.

Preparing for MAP testing next week.

Today we went to the computer lab and practiced clicking and dragging using a computer mouse to help us prepare for our beginning of our MAP test on Tuesday. We also learned how to turn the volume up and down on our headphones. To help your child, visit the following sites and have your child use a mouse to play the games.

Introducing the Letters

This week we introduced the letters Aa and Bb. This is the song we sang about the letter Aa, we will be singing a song for each letter.

Welcome to the Start of a Great Kindergarten Year!

It has been a busy week in C104, we have experienced so much already. We attended physical education, had music in our classroom, and played outside at recess each day.
